The aluminum band has a nice weight and precision feel, and the contrast between the black wood and white resin is striking. I've gotten several compliments already.
The burl wood and resin swirl on mine looks completely different from the photos in the best way, since each one is unique. It's surprisingly light on the wrist and the aluminum edge feels smooth, not scratchy. Wore it to a wedding and got three compliments before dinner.
The machined aluminum edge is what sold me — it's cool and smooth against the wrist while the burl wood grain stays warm and organic. Mine is the exact piece pictured, swirls and all, which I appreciated since no two look alike. Wore it to a dinner and got asked about it twice.
