Was worried the wood would feel rough against my palm but the stabilized burl is actually smooth and polished. The colored resin swirls look even better in person than in the photos, kind of like a tiny landscape on the back. Snapped on tight and hasn't budged once.
The burl wood grain on mine has this one dark swirl near the camera cutout that I keep staring at — no two are alike, which is the whole point. Resin edge feels smooth, no sharp lip where it meets the wood. Snapped on tight and it hasn't loosened in three weeks.
